As part of our goal to respect and protect our environment and communities and to ensure we are a good neighbour, Kettle Produce has a long history of getting involved in local community initiatives and supporting organisations and charities. We also work closely with schools, colleges, and universities to raise awareness of career opportunities within our sector and to promote health and well-being.
Community Partnerships
Fife Flyers
Kettle Produce has a long-standing community partnership with ice hockey team Fife Flyers.
The Fife-wide community partnership is a natural fit for both organisations who share the goal of promoting the benefits of healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle to schools and community groups around the Kingdom.
As part of the project, representatives from Fife Flyers, including the players, make bi-weekly visits to school and community groups to make them aware of the Fife Flyers and also talk about the importance of a healthy and balanced diet and regular exercise. Kettle Produce staff attend a number of the visits during the year with Kettle Produce’s contribution as a key UK supplier of vegetables forming part of the discussions on health, fitness, and correct nutrition.
It’s just fantastic to be working with Kettle Produce, which has allowed us to build on such a local successful community programme. It is very important to us to be out and about promoting not only healthy eating to our young local audience, but also to highlight good lifestyle choices and positive well-being with an educational focus. Our community really enjoy our presentation and fun approach, it is difficult for us for us to meet the demand set of us year on year, which illustrates how successfully the programme has grown over the years.
