Shift Manager - Orkie Production

General responsibilities include;

  • Managing staffing levels in line with plans and expectations
  • Raising business critical issues
  • Ensuring product quality output is to specification
  • Overseeing planned maintenance schedules
  • Monitoring hygiene, safety and GMP standards
  • Empowering Team Managers and motivating your whole team
  • Regular communication with the Production Manager and other Department Managers
  • Managing and supporting Team Managers to take control of their area and take responsibility for shift targets within that area

A little more detail;

  • Ensuring staff have the relevant training required for their roles
  • Staff appraisals, and when required, other HR related meetings
  • Developing your team to their full potential and supporting others who have this responsibility
  • Check and pass production plans and targets out to your team
  • Check there is the quality and quantity of raw material needed to meet targets
  • Manage and encourage productivity rates across your shift
  • Check that the final output is to specification, completed in full and within the scheduled timescale
