What We’re Looking For:
We need an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional with:
- Ideally experience working within a food/FMCG/Manufacturing environment ideally in a leadership role across multiple sites.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with everyone, from production staff to senior management.
- Collaborate with H&S Team, managers, and employees.
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate, as a minimum and prepared to work towards Diploma.
- Awareness of in-house training such as fire safety, manual handling and IOSH, to liaise with our L&D Dept.
Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Understand, challenge, and seek to improve safety standards within the Group in line with legislative requirements and best practice to drive a continuous improvement philosophy in all areas.
- Advise and mentor stakeholders to ensure compliance and continual improvement.
- Ensure full utilisation of all operational teams across all sites by effectively managing, coaching, mentoring, training, and leading-by-example.
- Develop and undertake safety audits & tours, ensuring all non-conformances are documented and take responsibility for completing action plans as a result.
Operational Excellence:
- Conduct regular audits and inspections, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate departmental safety activities and monitor their effectiveness.
Incident Management:
- Lead investigations for accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with contractors and external auditors i.e. HSE, insurers etc.
- Manage compliance with RIDDOR and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
System Development:
- Maintain and improve our Health, Safety & Environmental management systems.
- Develop risk assessments, safe working practices, and procedures that make safety a seamless part of our operations.

Salary - £52,000 - £57,000
