Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the out-loading and distribution functions across both sites
- Deliver departmental and business performance goals
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Manage supplier and haulage relationships effectively
- Act as a key point of contact between departments, particularly Production
- Lead, support, and develop Team Managers to maximise team performance
- Support recruitment activities including interviewing new team members
- Cover Distribution Manager and Team Manager shifts where required
- Provide hands-on support on the factory floor during peak periods
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Logical planning and organisational capability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure
- Experience in distribution, logistics, or a similar fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience is desirable (training can be provided)
Working hours are Tuesday to Saturday dayshift:
Tuesday: 11:00 – 16:45
Wednesday: 08:45 – 16:45
Thursday: 11:00 – 16:45
Friday: 05:00 – 16:45
Saturday: 05:00 – 16:45
