2nd Line Support Analyst

Kettle Produce Limited is one of the main providers of fresh and pre-packed vegetables in the country. We are a dynamic and customer focused business and we all play a pivotal role in the successful operation of the business.

We currently have an exciting opportunity at Kettle Produce Ltd as we are looking to hire a 2nd Line Support Technician within our IS Department.  Initially for a 6 months period with the chance of the post becoming permanent

You will provide technical support of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, AV equipment etc. Estate includes, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, Hyper V, MS Office 2019, Cisco (networking and VOIP) and hardware from various other vendors. You will be expected to work with other departments supporting initiatives in a busy factory environment.

This is a second line position so existing experience and knowledge will be built on with on-the-job training. 

A full UK driving licence and own car are essential for this role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Act as escalation point for IT Issues
  • Manage End User requests from Kettle Produce staff and other supported users and, where necessary, initiate and manage projects to deliver solution
  • Work with Management to identify and recommend potential improvements to IS estate
  • Provide assistance with audio video and conference room setup and support
  • Coordinate and/or set-up of data services, as well as phone, computer, and printer installation
  • Coordinate and/or execute the setup of network connectivity (LAN or WLAN)
  • Provide technology usage training to employees as well as mentoring 1st Line Support


Essential Experience/Knowledge

  • Full UK driving licence and own car
  • Microsoft Office client applications including Office & Teams
  • Windows 10
  • Windows Server Environment
  • MS Exchange
  • Hyper V
  • Active Directory (GPO etc)
  • Configuration and maintenance of DHCP, DNS etc
  • Network hardware & infrastructure, preferably Cisco, with some cabling experience
  • Hardware repair
  • Must be personable, have a customer-friendly attitude and can work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • An ability to prioritise and organise work effectively
  • An ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
