As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within our factory, preparing fresh produce from field to shelf. No previous experience in food processing is required as full training will be provided.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Engineer (Maintenance) to join our vegetable processing factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment critical to continuous food production.

Shift Pattern

4 on 4 off, days and nights 06.00 – 18.00 and 18.00 - 06.00

Salary from £47,228.80

As part of our friendly Distribution Team, you will be responsible for picking and scanning finished good to fulfil orders which then get loaded onto haulage. Also moving produce around the chill area. Using handheld scanners, you will rotate between building pallets of orders, or being on the forklift, working as a pair. This is very much a team effort.

Every day is different, and the department has tight knit teams across the shifts. 

Distribution is the last piece of the Kettle jigsaw – building the pallets and getting the fresh produce onto the HGVs ready to go to customer RDCs. 

Shift Pattern:

Sunday – Thursday Nightshift

Working hours are 40 hours averaged over two weeks

Pay Rate:

£13.90 per hour

£18.21 per hour overtime nightshift

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring the efficient management of distribution resources, people, and performance to meet business goals.

You will be a strong leader who leads by example - approachable, motivating, and capable of developing Team Managers who in turn drive high performance within their teams. In this key role, you will plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activity to help improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the right standard.

We are seeking an experienced manufacturing professional with a proven track record of implementing Autonomous Maintenance programmes and developing front-line operational capability. The successful candidate will be a pragmatic, hands-on coach who is equally comfortable training operators on the shop floor as they are presenting programme progress to senior leadership. They will bring energy, credibility, and a passion for developing a culture where operators take ownership of equipment performance and reliability.

The successful candidate will lead the deployment and implementation of the site's Autonomous Maintenance (AM) programme, developing our machine operator’s capability to take ownership of routine equipment care, inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and basic condition monitoring activities.

The role holder will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Performance Improvement teams to embed Autonomous Maintenance principles, improve equipment reliability, increase operator engagement, and support the transition towards a world-class manufacturing environment.

Contract Duration:

6–12 Months Fixed-Term Contract (dependent on programme scope and site requirements)
